Alpacas at Windy Hill is a full-service breeding ranch for both Suri and Huacaya Alpacas. We agist alpacas for new owners and investors, treating every alpaca as if it is our own. We operate 25 acres of green pasture, and house 400 alpacas, making us the largest alpaca ranch in California. Our temperate climate allows for breeding all year, a great advantage in advancing customer's breeding programs. We have Pperuvian Torbio and NGG Accoyo Apache II as our headliner full Accoyo herdsires. We are also now breeding 7-time Champion AWH Boreas, a black son of Sierra Bonita's Sirius Black, who is producing champion level black offspring who will enter the show ring this spring.Dr. Jana Smith, DVM, is our on-site veterinarian and consultant. Dr. Smith is a full time alpaca veterinarian--one of the most knowledgeable in the country. She serves alpaca breeders in Southern California, and has consulted on matters of show standards for AOBA.Cindy Harris has been raising alpacas for 11 years and is available as a consultant in purchasing, caring for and breeding alpacas. Her husband, Doug Fieg, is the breeding manager and keeps copious records and statistics which have been helpful to many breeders who are staring up.The Windy Hill Community is large and widespread, with friends across the nation, most of whom started here and have gone on to build successful alpaca businesses of their own.
