Pakistan Institute of ICTs for Development (PIID) is an initiative of Centre of Information Technology (CIT) in coordination with E-Village Foundation. The concept behind PIID is to bring together all relevant public and private organizations for the development of ICTs-enabled products and services to support initiatives targeted towards building the productive capacity of the rural population of Pakistan. PIID appreciates and understands the vast range of opportunities to be harvested in the ICT4D sector in developing countries. PIID's team is fully cognizant of Pakistan's global commitments like MDGs and WSIS. Using existing capacity, expertise and knowledge, PIID is working tirelessly to provide different services and solutions for development sectors specifically in agriculture, education, tourism, health and good governance.
