Welcome! My name is Kerry Bursley and I have been a mental health therapist for six years.  As many of us have experienced in the past few years, life can be unpredictable, challenging and even frightening at times.  When we are faced with change of any kind, it can be difficult to find our footing again.   We can find ourselves overwhelmed with confusion and the pain of trauma as we stumble blindly through the darkness.  Like the Greek Goddess, Persephone, we can find ourselves in new situations and new circumstances that we never dreamed.  It is my belief that even in darkness, there is always the possibility of finding our way to the warmth of the Sun and light again.  Like Persephone, who became the Queen of the Underworld, and the Goddess of Spring simultaneously, we can become strong, powerful and change the course of our story from tragedy to living in a much healthier, happier and fulfilling way.  I look forward to helping you sow the seeds of healing and growth, and start a new chapter in your life! I specialize in trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, grief, and other life transitions.  I love working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures.  The foundation of my practice is built on the values that I hold dear, including inclusion, equality, and the rights of all people to create the lives that work for them.  I am welcoming and affirming to the LGBTQ+ and Polyam communities.  As a Pagan, I enjoy working with other Earth Centered folks, but am very open  and welcoming to people of many different spiritual or religious backgrounds (or no background, as the case may be.)  My goal as a therapist is to provide my clients with a warm, friendly, compassionate and safe experience. I am EMDR trained, and also incorporate techniques from Solution Focused Brief therapy, Motivational Interviewing and CBT and DBT as well.  I look forward to hearing more about your journey, and how I can help you!
