"Common Future'' - The Student-Managed Endowment Fund of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, is the first of its kind in Israel and works in cooperation with the IBI Investment House and Bizportal.The income of the Fund relies entirely on contributions received from the IDC students, alumni and faculty members, as well as from private individuals and organizations.The Fund is managed by a selected group of outstanding students specializing in finance, in their final year of studies at the IDC's Schools of Business and Economics and its earnings are fully directed towards scholarships for students from low socio-economic backgrounds, with leadership qualities and potential, who have proven to be great achievers, both in their undergraduate studies as well as in their contribution to society.The investments and related tasks are carried out by the students, in the frame of an annual course, whilst operating strictly in accordance with the Fund Policy, under the close academic supervision and guidance of Professors of finance from the IDC faculty, and in firm partnership with leading investment consultants and analysts from the IBI Investment House.The students also receive "hands-on" experience with cutting-edge, investment related software, provided by the financial internet site, "Bizportal", a part of the Trendline Group, assisting them in performing technical analysis and evaluations of securities and financial instruments.
