Passing Hope is a non-profit organization geared towards ensuring that all children have the opportunity to compete in their given sport. The main mission of this charity is to collect soccer balls, lightly used soccer cleats, shin pads, and running shoes to give to children in third world countries and within local communities. We feel that no child should have to give up playing the sport that they love because their family can't afford the equipment. As the charity grows, we hope to eventually branch off into multiple avenues, working together with other charitable organizations to provide not only equipment, but funding for athletics to children in need. With the help of many organizations, in time, we hope to be able to collect equipment for multiple sports such as hockey, baseball, basketball, tennis, football etc. Passing Hope will be working with a dual focus: Globally and domestically, Passing Hope Canada will work in conjunction with multiple organizations to provide children within the area and abroad the necessary funds and equipment needed in order to participate in athletics. Sport builds confidence, teamwork, brings joy and has the potential to create opportunities and experiences that these children may never have had. Sport is a way of enriching their lives, and Passing Hope Canada wishes to provide them the necessary tools in order for them to experience the true love of the game. The dream would to one day be a charity that kids in all communities, across the country would be able to start. We hope to create a generation of youth who care about, give back, and help to cultivate the lives of others through sport.
