Through numerous projects and events, working on our own and with various community organizations, we bring a smile, an easier day, and a better life to others in our world. We invite you to bring your passion and enthusiasm for bringing more positivity in our world with you to our meetings and events, and even your own community! Thank you for SHARING the good work!: · Collections for Causes: e.g., Collecting daily necessities for furloughed federal workers, residents of a low-income housing development, women's and children's shelter, local foster care children, and migrant children fleeing Central America. Collecting costumes and accessories to provide dress-up therapy for pediatric patients in local hospitals.· Giving Time: e.g., Emergency Kindness Event following November 2018 mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, CA dance bar. Making and serving dinners for families at the Ronald McDonald House and Portland Homeless Family Solutions shelters. Delivering donated food .for distribution to the hungry. Making and delivering cookies on Christmas Day to local first responders. Volunteering at Oregon Food Bank. · Arts and Crafts: e.g, Sewing weighted lap pads for local victims of child sex trafficking. Crocheting Plarn Sleeping Mats for homeless population. Decorating placemats for seniors served by Meals on Wheels. Citywide Amplify Kindness! PDX event.
