KPW as an affiliate of ROSEMOND& SAFF group, proposed propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit for the production of propylene is the one of the biggest project announced to date by ROSEMOND & SAFF investment group. To be located in Kharg Island, Iran, it will be the only one propylene production unit in country when it comes online in 2022.The project is under feasibility study and conceptual design will be started soon, and the decision to implement was made in 2018, and the technology licensing agreement will be signed on 2020. Construction is expected to start in the first half of 2021.The site in Kharg Island was selected due to the availability of propane as feed as well as accessibility to required infrastructure and utilities, which can be integrated to meet the project needs. The site's close proximity to the Persian Gulf, can serve as the main transport route to Europe and Far East countries.
