The Refugee Education and Development Project (READ) is a non-profit organization that supports and funds quality education for refugees and displaced persons seeking vocational training, developmental education, or other support in educational endeavors. Our mission is to eliminate the idea of cost being a barrier to accessing education for refugees around the world. READ believes that education is a human right. We seek to develop and empower the next generation of leaders in the world's most persecuted communities and to raise awareness surrounding the education crisis for people whose lives have been uprooted due to wars, conflicts, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances. READ aims to provide the resources needed for individuals to pursue educational endeavors in a new country and we are committed to helping make educational opportunities accessible to everyone who is interested in pursuing education.
