Uit de Andes is an online store established in The Netherlands which imports clothing from Peru, with a focus on fair trade products and Peruvian garments.With our clothing label Kuychi (which means rainbow in Quechua) we created a handknit clothing collection for children, inspired by Andean colours and clean design.The garments are made in Cusco from world's finest yarn, alpaca, which is as soft as cashmere, breathable, eco- friendly and hypo-allergenic.We work with a small group of knitters, such that we can follow the production process of each item, and our customers can know who made the garment.The knitters receive a fair wage, while they work at home and can take care of their children.We make sustainable and slow fashion because we want to work for a sustainable world.
