Created in 1984, the association is composed of about twenty cities, spread over the whole territory of historical Brittany. It includes 10 Cities of Art and History, which hold a label delivered by the French Culture's Ministry, and 13 Historic Cities, which have a remarkable Heritage site. All of them are committed and are part of a common heritage preservation, promotion and animation programme.
