Visit Anderson is a Convention & Visitors Bureau. CVB's were created across the country to help destinations attract more of those lucrative tourism dollars to a community. We work in many different ways to accomplish these goals. Funded by the Accommodation Tax collected when someone stays in a hotel or lodging property in the county, the CVB uses these funds to create brochures, apps, websites and press releases to tell the story of Anderson County and get us noticed with tourist.CVB's also play a vital role in recruiting sporting events, meetings, and social gatherings such as weddings and family reunions to our area. These events put heads in beds, visitors spend money on shopping, food, and gas... then they go home... leaving their tax dollars for vital work in our county. Tourism is an economic driver and often the front line of companies deciding to relocate to an area.
