Wheelchairs for Kids Australia was established in 1996 by the Scarborough Rotary Club, whose members answered the life-changing call for help to provide wheelchairs for children with disabilities in less developed countries.We believe in the transformative gift of mobility and are committed to creating a world where every child who needs a wheelchair can get one, in turn providing children everywhere with access to the basic building blocks for a better life.Over the past 25 years Wheelchairs for Kids Australia has built and distributed over 55,000 wheelchairs to more than 80 countries free of charge.We operate with a unique volunteer workforce.
