The Wyoming Energy Council helps those in our community who are challenged in paying their heating bills. Our team provides home weatherization – insulation, weather stripping, and energy efficient windows, doors and in some cases, furnaces and appliances. We do this by working closely with state and federal government programs, including the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) and the Weatherization Assistance Program, and agencies including the Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS) and the US Department of Energy (DOE). We are able to provide these weatherization services at no cost to the families that need them in addition to conserving energy.To date, we've updated over 3,500 homes, primarily in Albany, Laramie, and Carbon counties, and helped almost 10,000 elderly, children, and others.We are expanding our services to provide energy audits, energy conservation and weatherization services to all homeowners, businesses, and other non-profit organizations.
