Regional Development Agency "Braničevo-Podunavlje" Ltd Požarevac, has been established with the support of Municipal Support Programme North-Eastern Serbia, financed by the European Union. Contract on founding has been signed on November 14th 2008by 21 founders: Cities of Požarevac and Smederevo, Municipalities Malo Crniće, Golubac, Žabari, Žagubica, Veliko Gradište, Kučevo, Petrovac na Mlavi, Velika Plana and Smederevska Palanka, companies „100%", „Union MZ", „Superior", „Progres" and Institute for agriculture „Stig", non-governmental organizations „CEDI" from Smederevo, „Jefimija" from Veliko Gradište, „Local Agenda 21 for Kostolac - Municipality", „Youth of JAZAS Požarevac" and Advanced technical school of expert studies from Požarevac. RDA „Braničevo-Podunavlje" has been formaly registered with the Serbian Business Registers Agency on March 3rd 2009, as a limited liability Company of non-profit character. The Regional Development Agency "Braničevo-Podunavlje" represents the central integrative point for promotion of sustainable and balanced socio-economic development of the urban and rural areas in the development region of Braničevo-Podunavlje, which will provide all of its citizens with an opportunity for an improved and better quality life.
